More than one dimension
One-dimensional labels can hide combinations, tradeoffs, and uncertainty. The Matrix keeps several directions visible so a result can describe measured responses without pretending to define a person’s identity.
What it measures
The assessment asks about institutional and policy choices. A Matrix is an estimate of those responses in a particular version of the instrument, not a claim about how someone votes or which label they must use.
A living method
